Teaching and learning are the lifeblood of any university.
This is the focus of the cover story of the spring 2015 edition of VIEW, the University of Windsor alumni magazine, now available to readers. The piece profiles some truly stellar examples of UWindsor faculty members and instructors who inspire their students and help to shape their lives.
This edition also introduces readers to architect Krysia Bussiere BA ’12, who was part of the first graduating class of the unique Visual Arts and the Built Environment program. VABE is a collaboration of the University of Windsor’s School of Creative Arts and the University of Detroit Mercy’s School of Architecture. It combines the study of art and architecture to give students a breadth of knowledge and experience in both disciplines.
VIEW’s research profile is of computer science professor Robin Gras, who has received global interest in the software he developed with graduate student Abbas Golestani, that can help predict epileptic seizures and other seemingly random events.
And, in its student profile, fourth-year movement science major Adriana Baggio talks about why giving back to the community—both at home and abroad—is so important to her.
