Collective Bargaining updates at the University of Windsor

Bargaining discussions continue with the University of Windsor and CUPE Local 1393 with the assistance of a mediator appointed by the Ministry of Labour on September 5 and 6. The University remains confident that an agreement can be reached. University administration has learned from the Ministry of Labour that a No Board report has been issued at the request of CUPE 1393, with a deadline of 12:01 am on September 8, which puts them in a legal strike position and the University in a legal lock out position at that time.

More collective bargaining dates scheduled with CUPE 1393

Bargaining discussions with CUPE 1393 began at the end of April and continued into early May.

The following additional dates have been confirmed for further collective bargaining: May 21, 22; June 5, 6, 18, 19, 20, 25 and 26.

CUPE 1393 represents approximately 282 technical, trades and professional staff at the University of Windsor.
