With more than 130 clubs at the University of Windsor, there is bound to be one to interest every student. Organizations participating in Club Days hope to help potential members identify theirs.
Sarika Sudhakar, who walked through the displays Tuesday outside the CAW Student Centre, appreciated the selection available.
“I only came to check it out today and it seemed pretty informative,” said the first-year social work student. “There is a lot of variety, lots of clubs for lots of different interests.”
Some students had no idea what club they wanted to join, but when they arrived and talked to some of the representatives, found what they wanted.
“I was actually dragged down here by my friend,” said Nifemi Ajayi, a first-year mechanical engineering major. “I was so uninterested, but after hearing what some of the clubs had to offer, I started gaining interest, and I ended up signing up for four clubs!”
Clubs Day continues today—Wednesday, September 23—from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Student Courtyard.
Maggie Parkhill and Bryanna Millben of Her Campus UWindsor seek to drum up interest in the online publication.
